Sue suggested we play at Capel in preference to Margaret River today as the weather down south was looking pretty rough. It's about a 50 minute drive from Sue & David's to Capel. We booked for 12:30 as there was a Ladies Par Comp on there in the morning.

Seemed like Sue was right and the weather improved the further north we drove.

We were able to,tee off straight away...not a good start for me with 3 off the tee and I didn't find the first ball.

Lots of kangroos around and they certainly weren't afraid of us at all.

Sue & David rang when we were hitting off on the 6th, they were on their way to the airport for their flight to Melbourne. David said it was pouring down (not quite his words), it had just started to sprinkle on the course, but for us the rain continued for the next 5 holes and then cleared up and the rest of the afternoon and was really nice, however it was really, really cold and by the 18th I could hardly feel my finger tips even after a change to dry gloves.

Scores for the 18:

Lynne - 1st 9 = 57, back 9 = 53, total = 110 less my adjusted handicap of 28 givea me 82.

Chris - 1st 9 = 61, back 9 = 53, total = 114 less Chris's adjusted handcap of 33 gives Chris an 81.

We were a bit later than we wanted to be heading home due to stopping for the rain to ease. Missy and Oscar were very happy to see us. So we had our first night with looking after them, as Sue & David are in Melbourne and don't get back home until Saturday evening.
