After yesterday being so cold and wet I was surprised to have another run where I took my jacket off.
We intended to play the East Course at Rich River again, however both courses were booked until atleast 2pm, so we rang the pro shop at Deniliquin Golf Club and booked for 12:28.
Deniliquin is about 72 kms from Moama and we were there in plenty of time. Actually we were able to get on as soon as we arrived which put us in front of the comp so we had very few delays and we managed to keep ahead without any problems.
I was off to a good start with 48 on the front nine, after that my golf was a bit different and the back nine was a lot more challenging.
We really enjoyed this course and would be very happy to go back and play there again. When we finished I was saying to the pro how challenging and interesting the back 9 holes were and how much we liked the course, then Chris mentioned that I had an uncle who is a golf professional and the guy asked his name. Turns out that he had played with Uncle Mike in a Pro Am and seemed to know him quite well. The guy's name is Graeme (Recka) Willoughby.
Chris had 5 bogeys but no pars today and I had 2 pars and 4 bogeys.
Scores for today were:
Chris front 9 = 53, and for the back 9 a 59 for a total of 112, less his 31 handicap = 81, with 28 stableford points.
For me front 9 = 48, back 9 = 59 for a total of 107 less my 31 handicap = 76, with 31 stableford points.
Our handicaps have remained the same, 31 for Chris and 31 for me.
