Today we set off along the coast to drive to Victor Harbor. It was a sunny but cool morning. After putting on my extra jacket, beaney and mittens we were ready to walk out along the pier to Granite Island. There is a draught horse pulled carrage out to the island, we patted the horses but chose to walk. The island is. Penguin habitat and also a whale watching area, no whales today. From June to September the southern Rights come into the bY to give birth. Once on the island we took the stairs up the coast line to ejoy the spectacular views across the bay. It was a lovely walk, lots of people enjoying it too. On our way back along the wharf we saw some litle penguins sunning themselves, at first I thought they were birds but the realised they were penguins, not sure if anyone else realised they were there.

We had lunch out in the sun at a cafe and thenheaded back stopping in at a few places along the coast. one spot had their bowling green right on the waters edge, what a view the bowlers had!

We stopped at the Goolwa Barrage and triedmto find the place where the Murray River meets the ocean,so we drove along Sir Richard Peninsula thinking we would find the mouth of the Murray however we would need to do a 5 km walk and it was getting a bit late in the day for that.
