We packed up and ready to leave Goolwa by 9:15am. The drive to Adelaide and beyond the city took some time and was quite slow due to rain, traffic and generally the road system. However, it was very pleasant through the hills and pastures.
Once we were on the other side of Adelaide heading towards Port Augusta the freeway opened up and it was a good drive.
We didn't really stop any where other than a road side stop for something to eat and then another stop to change drivers.
Cowell is a very quiet place at this time of year, seems to be a fishing area with quite a few boats in the caravan park. Our accomodation is pretty basic, perhaps another mistake in the booking, plus we have booked for 3 nights and I thought it was for 2 nights, so I've contacted Ceduna to let them know we will be there on the 6th and not the 5th.
Not so sure about golf here, we will check that out in the morning plus have a look around the area, we have been down this way on a previous trip but the is still a lot to explore.
Tonight we went to the local pub for dinner - nothing else open in town. The food was ok but servings very large, we got talking to a couple from Ireland, who arrived in Perth and are driving across to Sydney, we had a very pleasant dinner talking to them (Neil McCann & Orla).
