We left Mulwala this morning about 10 to head for Echuca, just a 150km drive. We had a booking at Maiden Inn Caravan Park in Moama, the NSW side of the border.
Our main reason for going here is to play at Rich River, where Uncle Mike won his first senior's tournament.
We checked in without any hitches and proceeded to unpack the car. Must say that Chris has organised the packing of the car and unpacking very well and has a good system for our buggies and clubs. All getting very easy now and we learn and refine as we go (and throw out). The clubs are now seatbelted on the back seat!
We drove across the bridge over the Murray into Victoria, parked the car and had a look around the Historia Port of Echuca. Spent some time waling Long the bank of the river and watching the paddlesteamer go up the river.
We drove out to a 9 hole course to have alook in case we are unable to get on at Rich River the next day. After some lunch we drove back to our cabin and spent the rest of the afternoon doing washing, drying and walking around the park.
