We had decided to have a none golf day today as we knew we were tired from the 3 games in a row last week, then the drive to here yesterday, plus there was a championship round on the course here. Although not a big field we decided there was enough reasons, oh yes and the fact that it was so cold with a cold wind and no sun.....so no golf.
We drove into the town, and then headed out to Lake Cargelligo, 117km drive. Not much to see along the way, paddocks of some sort of cereal, sheep, goats and some cattle. Plus lots of hawks hovering, looking for food.
The lake is very big but not much else happening around the town. I imagine in summer it would be a very popular area for water skiing. We made a couple of stops to look around the lake, had some morning tea sitting in the car, watched some kids playing in a gala AFL match and then drove back to our motel.
We wanted to be back here in time for the Swans V Eagles game, so had oursleves settled here by 4:30pm. Enjoyed the game, with the swans winning this time, not quite sure they can do it again though.
After the game we drove into the town again to get some dinner. It was after 8 so we were not sure what would be open. Ended up having a nice chinese dinner at the local club.
