Sunday 29th July 2012,

We both felt like we were driving home this morning. We started out with the new car is Walcha so it just feels as though this is home at the moment.

We woke this morning to a beautiful sunny morning, still cold but blue sky and no wind.I went for a short run,  then we packed the car and drove the 40 km to Walcha. We called at the service station to see Eric and he said he would be home about 12, so I said we would come around after 1 to give him time to have his lunch. We drove to the motel but our room wasn't made up so we went for a drive out to the Wild Rivers National Park, 47km, further than the drive from Uralla.

It was well worth the drive just for the view over the Apsley Gorge. We didn't go any further than Bud Mare where there is a lookout as we didn't want to be back too late. We had to go through 3 gates so I was in and out of the car 6 times to open and  close them.

Came back into town and had some lunch, then up to Eric & Ann's to load our 5 boxes/bags of "stuff". Just amazing what we have, but somehow we have managed to get it organised. Some has been thrown out and the rest we hope will fit in tomorrow. They have a lovely, older lab, Ann had just washed her and she is losing lots of hair which ended up all over me as I kept patting her, so was just so affectionate. At least I have some extra clothes to wear so it didn't really matter.

We've emptied the car, roof box as well as Eric has new rhino racks for us and we have to return the ones we borrowed from him. Probably a good thing as we have been able to consolidated a few things.  Our room is a mess with all our luggage, clubs, buggies etc taking up most of the space.

Tomorrow we'll have the car at Apsley Motors by 8:30 and they will service it, wash it, fit the back dust deflector, the racks etc and it should look brand new again.

While the car is being serviced Chris and I will play some golf at the Walcha Golf Course, we will have to wait for the day to warm ip as it is expected to be -3 overnight.
