Saturday 14th July 2012,

We left Mildura fairly early for us, about 9am. I had gone for a run on the tracks at the back of the caravan park, went a bit longer than I intended as I was a little bit lost through the maze of tracks, finally got the caravan park back in signt and was pleSed to see it.

The drive to West Wyalong was good, a fairly flat dirve with very little traffic. I had been in touch with Craig O'Connor, my cousin Clem's son who is living on Narrendera with his girl friend Jen. Narrendra was a slight detour on our way to West Wyalong and Craig said he would be home just after 1 and also said that his Mum & Dad were down to visit for Mitch's birthday.

We arrived at Craig & Jen's just after 2, Clem, Mitch and Craig weere out the front with Craig's new puppy Bella, a beautiful 8 month staffie with lots of energy. Jen was still at work.

Once we hit the road again it was just over an hour and half to our Motel accomodation at West Wyalong. The motel is right on the golf so we were looking forward to a few days of golf.

Along our way on this trip we saw lots of hawks, some quite big, hovering over the side of the road,I assume there would be mice in there. At one time I saw a hawk only about a foot above the roadside grasses, it was just hovering like magic, Chris saw a little but he was driving so didn't get quite as good a look as I did.
