Today we played at Flinders, we had a 10:32am tee off and it was already quite hot and I had my umbrella up almost straight away. I played terribly, from the very first drive I just couldn't get it together and said to Chris I just feel like going home. Anyway we kept on, the course was not really challenging (thank goodness), the views were wonderful but I probably didn't really appreciate that. By the end I could hardly swing and my right shoulder and arm were aching, I must have been swinging very badly for that to happen.

After we (finally) finished and packed our gear away we had a lovely (late) lunch at the Flinders Hotel. Seems like an upmarket pub, very popular, food was very nice and it was cool inside.

From there we drove down to Flinders "Ocean" Beach - we had to laugh at that as it is not really a beach as we would know it. I took my shoes and socks off and waded into the water, it was not really cold but nice to have the water on my legs. We didn't have our swimmers with us. I could see this "thing" in the water so encouraged Chris to come in and he said it was a squid, just looked beautiful with lovely blue eyes. We sat on the towel for a while and Chris took some photos.

Next we headed to the Blow Hole, which wasn't really working at it was low tired. There were lots of black rocks and I guess it would be quite spectacular in big seas. We did the walk down to the water and again I took my shoes and socks off and sat on the rocks and dangled my legs in the water. This was beautiful, the water refreshingly cold and really I would have loved to dive in.

We drove along to Cape Schank after that, another spectacular spot. Chris was getting a bit tired by now, so we thought we would just have a short walk, there is a long walk down and of course then back up to the end of the point so we have left that for another day. The shingles virus is still playing a big part in how Chris feels, then the heat as well and of course the physical activity.

From there we drove dow the road to have a look at the Cape Schank Resort and golf course, this looks pretty "swank" and challenging, with lots of undulating (hilly) fairways - not sure what day we will plan to play this course, already Chris is saying we will have to have a cart to play it.

We came home after that and had been here a few minutes when Alan (owner) knocked on the door with 2 cobs of fresh corn for us, which were delicious.
