We were both hoping for some good golf today, although it was sunny it was only 8 degrees when we hit off, with very little wind.

Not a good start for either of us though, the first was a par 3 and I had a 5 and Chris a 6, and this hole had an index of 18 for men and 11 for women.

It didn't really get much better, Chris had 54 for the front 9 and the same for me. On the 7th I was down there for 4 and then just couldn't get a chip on the green and kept going right over the green and ended up with 11 on that hole.

Chris was similar coming in with a 9 on the 7th but he just kept mis-hitting the ball. So on one hole we both could have done a lot better.

The back 9 was not much better, I had a 57 which included 9 on the 11th, and Chris had a 56 with a 10 on the 15th.

The course was very nice, a bit of water to get over to make it interesting, no bunkers though. Scores for the 18:

Lynne - 1st 9 = 54, back 9 = 57, total = 111, less adjusted handicap of 26 for an 85.

Chris - 1st 9 = 54, back 9 = 56, total = 110 less Chris's adjusted handicap of 34 gives Chris a 76.
