Uncle Mike had told us that it was worth a trip to Glen Innes for a game of golf, so we found ourselves there for 2 nights.

I went for a run first thing in the morning, as I turned from the main road there was a guy riding a horse with a dog running beside on a rope lead. Looked very strange amongst the traffic. The rest of the run was pretty uneventful and very peaceful.

The course is about 6 kms out of town and relatively easy to find. Seems like there will be a housing estate built around it sometime in the future.

The course was very nice, good greens and long fairways. A few people about but not busy. The guy at the bar was very friendly. He asked where we were from and then gave us the reciprocal price of $13 each, cheapest golf we have had.

Scores for the 18:

Lynne - 1st 9 = 52, back 9 = 53, total = 105, less adjusted handicap of 27 for an 78.

Chris - 1st 9 = 56, back 9 = 56, total = 112, less adjusted handicap of 34 for an 78.
