First highlight of note is that Chris had a birdie today, more about that later though.

It was a beautiful morning, a little chilly, but sunny and no wind.

The Pro wasn't around when we tee'd off, actually very few people were around, probably all a bit tired from the championships over the weekend. So we had the course to ourselves for most of the time.

Not quite as challenging, or hilly as Longyard but a very nice course. I seemed to struggle most of the day, just couldn't get my fairway wood working. The greens were extremely quick, just like Longyard and lots of roll.

On the 5th, we were both off the green for 3, Chris was about 7-8 metres from the pin slightly in the rough. One of the maintenance people was waiting for us to finish so was watching, when Chris "starred" and chipped the ball into the hole for a par 4, giving him 5 stableford points. I said that I never want to hear him complain about his golf again. I managed to chip on and putt for a 5 and 3 points - but this pales into insignificance against Chris's birdie.

I played about 4 good holes for the day and 3 really bad ones.

Scores for the 18:

Lynne - 1st 9 = 58, back 9 = 56, total = 114, less adjusted handicap of 27 for an 87.

Chris - 1st 9 = 52, back 9 = 60, total = 112, less adjusted handicap of 34 for an 78.
