I have been really looking forward to playing at Murray Downs, not sure why but it just sounded such a nice course with not much else around it, really that is why came across the way have. So it was very disappointing when we went to the Pro shop to be told that the green fees were reduced as they had a problem with the greens and work was being done on all of them, sounds very similar to Cromer.

Anyway it started off a nice day and we were told to play the back 9 first so we headed to the 10th and off we went. Well neither of us really got it together much, Chris was very disappointed with his game and our scores reflect some very bad golf.

We were joined by a lady on the 15th, she was up there from Korumburra visitng friends and family and just playing 9 holes to practice for a comp the following day. Her name was Chris and we enjoyed playing a couple of holes with her.

Not a good day scoring wise for Chris, he says he found every bunker and every bit of water on the course. I was happy with progress I have made with my fairway wood, but still need to improve on my chipping and putting.

It's a pity the greens were so bad as it really disillusioned us about the course and, added to this the wind picked

up and it got quite cold out there, plus I had a sore back probably due to the bad nights sleep I had the night before.

So our scores for today:
Chris had 2 bogeys but no pars today and I had 2 pars and 5 bogeys.

Chris back 9 = 57, and for the front 9 a 77 for a total of 134, less his 31 handicap = 103, with 19 stableford points. He is not very happy about publishing this score.

For me back 9 = 56, front 9 = 57 for a total of 113 less my 31 handicap = 82, with 31 stableford points.

Our handicaps have remained, 31 for Chris and 31 for me.
