I headed off for a 5 km run this morning, at least it being Sunday there wasn't as much traffic and after 1km I turned down a side street and it was much more peaceful. Off to one side was the National Trust area that I had run through previously and I saw 3 really light coloured kangaroos hopping along (plus 1 dead on the side of the road). On the way back 2 kangaroos crossed the road in front of me, luckily no cars were around at that time.

The morning was very chilly and looked like it would be overcast all day.

We drove the short distance to Renmark Golf Course and were disappointed to find out that the front 9 holes were closed for renovations. Next disapointment was that the back 9 were not that good and neither was our golf. I had a really bad day and just seemed to go from one tree to another. The only positive for me was that I played better the 2nd time around.

Chris was not very happy with his golf either, on a par 3 he had taken 3 shots to get down all along the tree line and was in the trees and getting very discouraged when he chips out onto the green, hits the pin and in the hole. I just couldn't believe it and Just stood there laughing it really was so funny to see how it happened.

Scores for the 18:

Lynne - 1st back 9 = 65, 2nd back 9 = 58, total = 123 less my adjusted handicap of 27 gives me 96.

Chris - 1st back 9 = 56, 2nd back 9 = 55, total = 111 less Chris's adjusted handcap of 34 gives Chris a 77.

We drove into Renmark which doesn't seem to be much of a place had some afternoon tea and drove home. We took a very, very rough 4 wheel drive track off the main road to head towards Lyrup which we never found or it is too tiny to find. Basically we were then trying to find a better track  so we didn't have to go back on the very, very rough one and some how we managed to do this and to get back to the main road before it got too dark.
